SOTA serves as a vector for collaborative achievements related to front and back-country singletrack recreation trails. The South Okanagan hosts many hiking clubs up and down its corridor, including the Oliver-Osoyoos Naturalists Club, Penticton's Adventurers, Penticton H3 Shiggy Dusters and Penticton Outdoor Club, the Peachland Trekkers, Summerland 'Old Farts' Club (no website) Peachland's Trekkers, West Kelowna's Hiking Addiction and the "Suck it up, Buttercup" trail-runners group.
The South and Central Okanagan Naturalists Clubs and numerous NGO's round out the significant array of individuals interested in hiking / trail-walking / running. With this many active partners, just think that we can accomplish if we pool our collective minds and resourcefulness! Change doesn't come easily - on any level, and the best thing that we can do for our existing land-access, its flora and fauna and the future of outdoor recreation in our valleys is to share knowledge, skills and advocacy efforts in order to forward our positive addenda.
